OVERVIEW
By 2030, the global senior population is expected to increase to 1 billion people, almost 12 percent of the earths inhabitants. In the United States, the population aged 50 or over will increase to 132 million. Finding reliable caregivers is a challenge. Today, about 40 million Americans currently provide care for an aging parent, spouse, aunt, uncle, friend or other loved ones so that they can live independently at home.
THE CHALLENGE
It is estimated that over 40 million Americans currently provide care for an aging parent, spouse, aunt, uncle, friend or other loved one so that they can live independently at home. A majority of these caregivers are Boomers, and they devote, on average, 20 hours per week to providing unpaid care.
Senior care is one of the most expensive costs in older adult life. The current matching process for senior care is inefficient and not easy to find reliable caregivers.
THE SOLUTION
A people and placed-based mobile app that efficiently connects caregivers with careseekers to share information while cutting costs and saving resources through CarePool and CareShare network.
The App goal
VitaCare aims to connect careseekers and caregivers through an app marketplace for adult human care.
